SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Selection of the scholarship recipients will be based on merit. Applicants should be in good academic standing with their home university and should maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better;

Students must apply to attend the g-MEO Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad for an academic semester (spring or fall). The application deadline for the fall semester is April 15th; and for the spring semester is Nov. 1st.;
Students must be accepted to attend the g-MEO Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad program. Applications are now open and can be submitted through g-MEO’s online portal at http://www.gmeochina.com/apply;
Along with their application to the g-MEO Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad, students must also submit a 500 word essay detailing why they are interested in studying abroad at the Center and how they expect the experience to enrich their future academic and professional careers.
Students awarded the scholarship will be asked to assist g-MEO in promoting the Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad on its social media platforms. Recipients of the scholarship will be asked to write blogs, tweet, and create postings on g-MEO’s group Facebook page about their experiences at the Center and in China overall throughout their semester. Scholarship recipients will also be asked to form a focus group to provide input to the Center administrators from time to time regarding how to further improve the quality of the study abroad program.
